Bethel Elementary 2025–26 School Performance Results

Dear Bethel Families,

As North Carolina releases School Report Card data for the 2025–26 school year, I am incredibly proud to share results that reflect the hard work of our students, staff, and families.

For the fourth consecutive year, Bethel Elementary Exceeded Expected Growth. This is especially meaningful because academic growth measures the progress students make during the school year—not simply where they begin or end. Sustaining this level of growth year after year tells an important story about the learning happening throughout our school.

Bethel earned a School Performance Grade of B with a performance score of 78, continuing a steady increase from 76 last year and 74 two years ago. Our achievement score also increased to 74.8.

Most importantly, we continue to see this progress reflected in student achievement. Overall grade-level proficiency increased to 73.7%, up from 71.7% last year and 68.9% two years ago. Reading proficiency has increased for three consecutive years, reaching 70.2%, while fifth-grade science proficiency reached an outstanding 89% this year.

These results give us much to celebrate, but they also keep us focused on the work ahead. We continue to look closely at not only how Bethel performs as a whole, but also whether every student and every group of students is growing and achieving at high levels. Our commitment is to continue strengthening instruction, responding to student needs, and ensuring that every child has the support and opportunities needed to thrive.

I am deeply grateful for our teachers and staff, who work intentionally every day to help students grow, and for our families, whose partnership makes this work possible. Most of all, I am proud of our students. Four consecutive years of exceeding growth, rising achievement, and continued progress are accomplishments that belong to our entire Bethel community.
