CCS High School Athletic Event Safety Protocols and Procedures

NEW for 2025:
- Elementary and middle school students will not be allowed to enter high school athletic events without a supervising adult. If an unaccompanied student arrives, their parent/guardian will be contacted to pick them up.
- Elementary and middle school students must be supervised at all times throughout the event.
General Expectations:
- All spectators are expected to remain seated during the athletic event, except when visiting concessions or restrooms.
- Entrance procedures may include the use of walkthrough and/or handheld metal detectors.
- Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: weapons (including pocket knives), vapes, tobacco products, lighters, and other items deemed unsafe.
- There will be no re-entry after exiting the athletic venue.

No bags are allowed except:
- Medically necessary items (subject to proper inspection).
- Diaper bags (allowed only if an infant/toddler is present and the bag is properly inspected).
Behavior Expectations:
- Proper sportsmanship and respectful behavior must be exhibited at all times.
- Unruly spectators will be removed and may be banned from attending future CCS athletic events.
- Law enforcement and CCS staff will be present to address any potential disruptions.
- Cabarrus County Schools reserves the right to deny entry or remove individuals who fail to comply with these procedures.
